FAQs
Is this service right for me?+
Our ADHD service supports adults, children and young people at every stage of their ADHD journey — from assessment and diagnosis through to medication, reviews and ongoing care.
If you’re unsure which service you need, our team can help.
Why choose KMS for ADHD care?+
We provide end-to-end ADHD care under one roof, giving you access to specialist assessment, treatment and ongoing support without having to move between different providers.
Our experienced clinical team provides safe, evidence-based care tailored to you.
What information will I need?+
This depends on the service you choose. We’ll let you know exactly what we need before your appointment.
If you already have an ADHD diagnosis, we may ask for your diagnostic report, relevant clinic letters, medication details and recent health information.
We’ll guide you through everything you need to provide before your appointment.
What happens if I need to start or change ADHD medication?+
If medication is clinically appropriate, we will develop an individual treatment plan and support you throughout the titration process. You will receive regular reviews to monitor your response, manage any side effects and adjust your medication until you reach the most effective and stable dose.
Once your medication is stabilised, you will transition into our ongoing annual review pathway to ensure your treatment remains safe and effective. Medication can only be prescribed following a comprehensive clinical review confirming that treatment is appropriate.
Private prescriptions and the cost of medication are not included in the consultation fee and are payable separately.
Can you arrange Shared Care with my GP?+
In many cases, once your ADHD medication has been safely initiated and your dose has been stabilised, your GP may be able to take over prescribing your medication through a Shared Care Agreement.
This is a formal arrangement where your GP prescribes your medication while our specialist clinicians continue to provide your ongoing ADHD reviews and clinical oversight.
We will support this process by preparing the necessary clinical documentation and liaising with your GP where appropriate.
However, participation in Shared Care is always at the discretion of your individual GP practice, and we cannot guarantee that your GP will agree to prescribe your medication.
If your GP is unable to participate in Shared Care, we will discuss alternative options with you, including ongoing private prescribing where clinically appropriate, to ensure there is no unnecessary interruption to your treatment.
How quickly can I be seen and how much does the service cost?+
We understand how frustrating delays in ADHD care can be, particularly when treatment or medication reviews are overdue. Our aim is to provide timely access to specialist appointments, helping you start, continue or optimise your treatment as quickly and safely as possible.
We believe in clear and transparent pricing, with all consultation fees published on our website and no hidden charges. All appointments must be paid for securely in advance using our online payment system (Stripe). Private prescriptions and medication costs are separate from consultation fees and are payable by the patient.

Working with the NHS and Private Partners
We are proud to work alongside NHS organisations, commissioners and commercial partners to provide specialist ADHD follow-up, medication management and continuity of care services. Through a clinically governed, scalable model, we help expand service capacity, support shared care pathways and deliver high-quality, patient-centred neurodevelopmental services that complement existing provision.
We welcome opportunities to collaborate with NHS organisations, Primary Care Networks, Integrated Care Boards, charities, employers and independent providers. If you are exploring innovative ADHD or neurodevelopmental services, we’d be pleased to discuss how ADHD KMS can support your patients, workforce or organisation.
